DURCAL & "THE HAPPY VALLEY" - PLACES OF INTEREST
The Moors called is this due to the fragrance of orange and lemon blossoms.
Dúrcal, located in the southern foothills of Granada, is the beginning of the Valle de
Lecrín, orchards dotted with small villages surrounded by fruit trees where hospitality
and tranquility are the main features of their people.
As we enter the Guadalfeo River Valley, the road leads us to Vélez de Benaudalla.
Bordering this narrow and winding valley, we will go up between orange and
chirimoyos' trees to the Güájares, three small and hidden villages with friendly people,
where their white houses between narrow and steeped streets recall a past of isolation
and oblivion.

GUADIX - PLACES OF INTEREST
- The Cathedral
Precious jewel of pure Renaissance and Baroque styles, built over
the Almohadan mosque and the old Gothic Cathedral. It is the work
of Diego de Siloé, Gaspar Cayón and Vicente Acero. It possesses
the best baroque choir in Spain, by Ruiz del Peral, and majestic Corinthian
and Ionic columns.

One can contemplate the Caves in a panoramic view which is very picturesque.
