The Sociedad is supported by European animal welfare organisations and personal donations. Maintained by a small group of volunteers, the Sociedads' purpose-built animal sanctuary at La Mojonera, Almeria cares for some 100+ dogs and cats. The Sociedad also has an active dog and cat neutering programme.

How you can help
This website has been created not only to promote the work and aims of the Sociedad but also as an extensive photographic database of the animals in our care. All the animals are in desperate need of good homes and, via the Internet, our aim is to enable prospective adopters to view their new four-legged friend online! As we daily receive abandoned animals into our care, the photographic database will be continuously updated, so please bookmark this page and visit us often!
